A new record to accomplish
Mozilla is doing a big effort to set a Guinness World Record for the most software downloads in 24 hours. I've pledged to download the new Firefox 3 on the download day not only to help them to accomplish their goal but because it's really a fantastic browser.
I could clearly notice that it's faster than Microsoft Internet Explorer. Since that, I abandoned IE. While I'm writing this post there is 502,648 pledges all over the world with the highest number in the United States. In Australia, there is 7,142 pledges and 777 in Saudi Arabia whereas there is 81,626 in the U.S. China and India have 8,628 and 7,136, respectively. In Brazil, there is 36,233 pledges and 37,606 in Poland. Significantly, the United States has the highest number and then comes Poland and Brazil with a small difference. For more information visit Spread Firefox. You can also participate here and see some statistics on the world's map.
